Early Years (1977–1981) New York Experimental Glass Workshop began in 1977 in Richard Yelle’s loft at 54 Franklin Street, in SoHo. The following year NYEGW went public and moved into a basement facility at 4 Great Jones Street. The space was rented through Clayworks Studio Workshop, which occupied the first floor. From mosaics in the subway to windows in skyscrapers, glass makes our city a more vibrant and exciting place.
