If you can find a CDI (capacitor discharge ignition) from the 1960's using the vehicles stock ignition points as the trigger, you could utilize it with a magneto. Bought my '48 8N couple years back. Came with 12-volt battery, but nothing else 12 v. Kept burning points 2x year. If you take the plate off the magneto to get to the points, you could also check the rotor gear timing, and be sure the marks are aligned right.
